Community Service
When clubs complete effective service projects, they improve the community, bring people together, and reflect well on Rotary. When Rotary is viewed as a positive force in the community, its membership strengthens and grows, adding to the organization’s ability to serve worldwide.

VBR's Community Service Projects for 2009-10 include:

• COS Science students - Field trip to Pasadena Jet Propulsion Laboratories
• Boys and Girls Club - Snow ski and Mentoring program
• Bicycle Assembly and donation to the children of Visalia Emergency Aid
• Green Acres Middle School - Green house project
• Goshen Elementary School - Build a new playground
• Dinner Barbeque for students and staff at Camp Royal
• Weekly book donation by traveling Rotarians
• VB Rotarians read and donate books to local Elementary Schools
• VBR donates Automatic Electronic Defibrillators to locations throughout Tulare County for our HeartSafe Community

• Valley Oak Job Shadow

• Dictionary donation program for local Elementary Schools

• 4 Way test program at El Diamante

• Annual Blood Drive
